SACO AEI Polymers Impact Modifiers 

Impact modifiers are Maleic Anhydride grafted Polyolefin Elastomers (POEs). They are incorporated into nylon and PBT to improve deformation and crack resistance of the finished product. 

The typical loading levels vary from 8-25%, depending on the system it is being used in. 

Safety First 

Handling Maleic Anhydride poses some health risks is not done so properly. It can be both corrosive and an irritant. So, if somebody were to have too much exposure, employees could experience mild or severe irritation to their eyes, nose, or throat.

  • There are annual trainings and risk assessments. 
• Appropriate PPE
• Neutralization and Safe Cleaning Methods
