Fine-Blend EMI-100

Fine-Blend manufactures EMI-100, which is a high flow SAN carrier resin for color and CB masterbatches for ABS, ASA, and PC/ABS compounds. 

This carrier resin is available in micro-beads, much smaller than common competitor products. It has excellent wettability to all inorganic pigments, filler, and CB. It also offers good compatibility with the PC components of polycarbonate /ABS blends. 

Benefits of EMI-100

There are many benefits of using EMI-100 on color concentrates and masterbatches, including but not limited to:

• It helps the dispersion of pigments and colorants and prevents re-agglomeration during processing, thus in a uniform distribution in the finished compound.
• It reduces the torque in the extruder and the plasticization time.
• It provides superior strength of the color.
• Compared to other commonly used carriers, processing aids, and dispersants, it results in far less or no surface defects, and in better quality and aesthetic of the finished product. 
• When used in masterbatches, it provides a fine dispersion of the carbon black and results in deep black color with a low L value. 
• It boosts the impact strength of ABS and PC/ABS compounds.

Recommended Dosage

To replace 10-50% of the SAN or ABS carrier resin of the original masterbatch formulation.
